Fingerweaving Headstick --- Weaving Pattern [1] --- (worked from right to left ---- first strand in top shed layer.) [NOTE] Starting on the right hand side of the work-piece, an over/under configuration of the yarn strand is established by picking up the yarn strand with a pair of sedondary headsticks.

Grasp the yarn bundle with the left hand.

Use the right hand to hold two additional headsticks parallel to each other. Use the parallel headsticks to pick up the first strand on the right hand edge of the yarn bundel. Place the strand over the first additional headstick and under the second additional headstick.

Pick up the second strand from the right hand edge of the yarn bundel. Place the second strand under the first additional headstick and over the second additional headstick.

Pick up the third strand on the right hand edge of the yarn bundel. Place the third strand over the first additional headstick and under the second additional headstick.

Pick up the fourth strand from the right hand edge of the yarn bundel. Place the fourth strand under the first additional headstick and over the second additional headstick. [OBCERVE] The alternating over/under configuration of the strands.

Following the over/under pattern established with the first four strands, pick up the remaining strands. [NOTE] This completes the headstick set up. With the foundation completed, the next step in starting a weaving project, is to pick up/build the shed.
